2007 Hyundai Tiburon

BILLY was commissioned by Hyundai to paint their 2007 Hyundai Tiburon for The National Hyundai Dealers Show at McCormick Place in Chicago.  BILLY also painted the final touches of the car live while dealers and clients watched and asked questions about the artist and his designs.  BILLY'S painted Tiburon will tour the country this year with Hyundai visiting all the major auto shows, so look for it at a city near you.

BILLY recently painted a mural with a group of students from The School of Fine Arts celebrating the institutions 50th year anniversary.  The project was close to BILLY because this is where BILLY first got his creative start when he was 8 years old.  Over the years BILLY has had several openings at the gallery at Fine Arts and was awarded a special proclamation and award from the governor of Ohio.  The mural will be a permanent  part of the Fine Arts collection.                           

BILLY designed the cd cover and jacket for the newly released Ninos Volume 2 compilation established as the #1 kid-pop brand in the US Latin market.  Volume 1 sold more than 150,000 copies.  The cd was recently released and debuted as the number 7 cd on the Latin charts.  In order to promote the colorful artwork BILLY  and kids from local communities across the country will create Ninos murals at retail record stores around the U.S. and Puerto Rico. BILLY'S designs are also featured in the national commercial for the cd as well as the Nino's coloring book and coloring pad that will be given away to kids as a special promotion.  Other Ninos items will be available such as t-shirts, bracelets, book bags, and placemats.  For more information on Ninos and BILLY'S designs go to www.ninosvol2.com/

It's been 10 years since BILLY got his first professional break in painting 60 feet of ceiling murals for the acclaimed original Broadway production of RENT.  BILLY went on to do murals and merchandising designs for the London, Berlin, and national companies of the show and all of this led to what has become a successful career as an international artist and muralist.  After 10 years of such major projects as Woodstock 99, Delaguarda, and murals around the world, the Broadway production of Rent still remains very close to BILLY'S heart and his murals can still be seen at The Nederlander Theater on Broadway.

BILLY completed a large 40 foot pool mural for a private collector in connection with his art opening in Curacao.

BILLY completed  a large permanent  mural for The Hetrick-Martin's Harvey Milk High School in New York City.  BILLY had several workshops with the students, working with them and putting many of their design ideas into the final piece.  The students also painted their own mural with BILLY filling in his designs around their images and creating a very raw and exciting piece.

BILLY painted a record five apples for the Big Apple Fest-a public art event in NYC that consisted of hundreds of large painted apple sculptures that adorned the streets of Manhattan.  BILLY'S impressive five apples were sponsored by such notable clients as Edward Minskoff-owner of the IBM building, B.R. Guest Restaurants, The Advertising Co. of New York, Entertainment Weekly Magazine, and the official apple for The New York Mets.  BILLY'S "Kissing the Big Apple" was auctioned at a Sotheby's Event at Ciprianis.  For more information go to: www.bigapplefest.org.
